A little history
Baldwin Park grew up in the first decades of the 1900s on the eastern edge of the Victorian expansion, filling the blocks between Anderson and 37th Street with modest frame cottages and brick bungalows built for tradesmen and railroad workers. It was designated a local historic district and has been one of the steadiest rehab stories in midtown Savannah over the last fifteen years.
The market today
Prices run from the $300Ks for a cottage that still needs work to around $1M for a fully reworked home with an income unit or carriage house. The appeal is location — a five-minute drive or fifteen-minute walk to Forsyth Park and Starland — at a basis well under Ardsley Park.
