A little history
Bloomingdale incorporated in 1935 along the Central of Georgia rail line and has deliberately stayed rural while Pooler and Port Wentworth built out around it. Large agricultural and timber parcels still make up much of the city's land area.

Buyers come here for acreage: one- to five-acre homesites, well and septic in places, and room for shops, RVs, or livestock, all inside Chatham County. Zoning and utility availability vary sharply parcel to parcel.
