A little history
Guyton grew as a summer resort town in the late 1800s, when Savannah families rode the Central of Georgia line inland to escape the coastal heat. Several Victorian-era houses from that period survive along the old town grid.
The market today
Today it is a quiet rural market: period homes in town, newer builds and acreage outside it, and the longest commute of the Effingham submarkets. Pricing reflects that distance.
