A little history
Midtown filled in between the wars and immediately after, as Savannah grew south from Victory Drive toward DeRenne. It absorbed several distinct plats — Fernwood, Parkside, Kensington fringe, Chatham Crescent's southern blocks — and the housing stock reflects that: 1920s brick cottages next to 1950s ranches next to full 2020s rebuilds.
The market today
That range is why the price band is so wide. A modest ranch needing work starts around $300K; a to-the-studs renovation or new build on an established Midtown lot can pass $2M. Everything here is roughly ten minutes from downtown, Memorial Health, Hunter Army Airfield, and Habersham Village.
What to know before you buy
