A little history
Pembroke is the Bryan County seat, a rail town incorporated in 1905 and, for most of its history, an agricultural center well outside Savannah's orbit. The Hyundai Metaplant, built just south of town, has changed that math permanently.
The market today
Buyers get acreage and small-town pricing within a reasonable drive of the plant and I-16. Inventory is a mix of older in-town homes, farmhouses on multiple acres, and new subdivisions that broke ground after the plant announcement.
