A little history
Richmond Hill exists in its modern form because of Henry Ford, who bought roughly 85,000 acres here in the 1920s, drained marshland, built a sawmill, a research laboratory, schools, and a chapel, and rebuilt the community then called Ways Station. It was renamed Richmond Hill in 1941 after Ford's estate. The Hyundai Metaplant in neighboring Bryan County is now driving the largest economic expansion the county has seen since.
The market today
The market spans $300K townhomes and starter subdivisions off Highway 144 through waterfront and gated club homes past $4M on the Ogeechee. Bryan County schools and the twenty-five-minute run up I-95 to Savannah are the two things almost every buyer cites.
